Headband Fabric & CareAside from the pre-made ribbon options, which are polyester-based, new offerings are generally made from cotton, which I've preshrunk before sewing, so they're soft and won't surprise you when they come out of the washing machine. A few of the specialty fabrics (brocade, faux leather and faux suede) are polyester.
They can be thrown in the washing machine, cold water, drip dry. If any fabrics require handwashing (some specialty fabrics might prefer it), it'll say so on the item description.
